"I first met Mr Connell Dec 2024 after being diagnosed with a prolapse. I found him very informative and he guided me to the best approach to surgery requirements with no pressure to rush into it without thought. I made the decision 12 months later to go ahead with surgery in January 2026. Surgery was carried out March 2026 and Mr Connell was very supportive and understood my concerns. I found him approachable and very straight with the facts."
Urogynaecology
Specialist assessment and treatment of pelvic floor problems, including prolapse, stress incontinence and overactive bladder.

What is urogynaecology?
Urogynaecology is the subspecialty of gynaecology that focuses on disorders of the female pelvic floor, including pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. These conditions are common, often under-reported and very treatable.
Symptoms can include a feeling of something coming down in the vagina, leaking urine with coughing, sneezing or exercise (stress incontinence), a sudden urgent need to pass urine (urgency incontinence), frequent night-time waking to pass urine and difficulty fully emptying the bladder.
Management is highly individualised and may include pelvic floor physiotherapy, lifestyle changes, vaginal pessaries, medication for overactive bladder or surgical repair, in line with NICE guidance.
Pelvic floor problems are extremely common and there is almost always an effective, dignified treatment available; you do not need to put up with symptoms.
